Upon Reading a Report from the comee of this house
under the hands of John Tayler< no role > Esqr Trear Saml. Rush< no role > Esqr .
Mr John Shelton< no role > Mr. Cha: Lorrenge< no role > and Mr Depty Stamper
dated the 12th day of November instant as followeth Vizt This
Comee In pursuance of an Order of Court of the 7th day of
Octr. last haveing considered of the Petition of Elizabeth Bayly< no role >
the wife of Thomas Bayly< no role > Steward of this Hospital Setting
forth That the Stewards Salary is Small and his perquisites Sca [..]
any so that he has not thereby been able to provide necessarys for his
family but that the Petitioner has been forced to Sell such Lames [..]
were settled for her maintenance and has also contracted Debts for
the support of her family which she is unable to pay and praying
such Gratuity as the Court should think fitt And it appearing to this
Comittee that a great number of ye Prisoners who were comitted to
this hospital for two years last past before this year had no
Dyet from the house which was a Loss to the steward It is the
Opinion of this Comee to give the Petr. a Gratuity of Thirty
pounds which nevertheless is Submitted to the Judgement of the Court
This Court doth confirme the same and Order that the
Clerk do pay the Petr. Thirty pounds to be allowed him in his
next account

12th day of instant Novembr as foll Vizt

I have been a Tenant to Mr George Stead< no role > for a peice of ground being
66 foot one way & go another lyeing in wapping on the North West side of
nine which I tool of you If you please to let me have the sd pence for the
Terme of my own LeaseI am willing to pay for it four pounds p annd
& of yne of Twenty poundsI have a peice of ground part of
which I hold from the hospital on the North side of Brew house
Lane near as much as the peice I desire to have which lyes
Contiguous to some of the Hospital Land, that will fall to you at
Lady day next, I am willing to & charged that peice for this and
to pay a Consideration of thirty pounds for itIt is
Ordered that the consideration there of be referred to the Comee
of this house who are desired to report their Opinion there on
to this Court
