Also upon reading unto this Court a Report bearing date the
21th. day of Octobr. last past under the hands of Sr. Wm. Withers< no role > Knt . &
Alderman Presidt , Sr John Cass< no role > Knt . and Alderman Treasurer Mr
George Ludlam< no role > Mr Depty William Phillips< no role > and Mr Nathll. Wollfryes< no role >
three of the Govrs of these Hospitals Which Report is in these words
following Vizt. Whereas at a Court of the Governors of the
Hospitals of Bridewell and Bethlem held at the sd Hospital of
Bridewell the third day of Augt. 1710 Wee whose names are
hereunder Subcribed being amongst others appointed to be Auditors
of the Accounts of the said Hospitals for the year ending at Michas
1710 one haveing accordingly Audited the accounts of the sd. Hospital
of Bethlem Doe find in the Account of the Stock of the Sd, Hospital
there are included the Arrears of Debts due to the said Hospital from
Sundry Persons amounting in the whole to the sume of Seven hundred & thirty
Six Pounds eight Shillings and Ten Pence the Particulars whereof
are settforth in the Schedule hereto annext which for the reasons in
the said Schedule continued wee looke upon to be desperate Debts
never to be recovered in and do make the account of the Stock of
the said Hospital Appear to be lesse in Debt than really it is
Wee are therefore of Opinion that the same for the future Shoud be
carryed to Profitt and loss and Omitted in the said Account
which neverthelesse wee Submitt to the Judgemt. of this Court
And this Court haveing mature by weighed & Considered of the
said Report doth Confirme the same
