Baskettmens Gratuityes


Also upon the humble petition of the three Beadles & Baskettmen
of the said Hospital of Bethlem for their usual gratuityes of twenty
Shillings a peice in respect of the half year ending at Lady Day last for
that their Sallaryes are Small It is Ordered That the Clerke of these
Hospitals do give and pay unto them twenty Shillings a peice to be
allowed him in his next account.

Also upon reading to this Court Rept. from the Comittee of this house
dated the 17th. day of January last past that they had made an
Agreemt. wth. Edwd Rew< no role > of Woolwich in the County of Kent Lighterman
That he should have a Lease from the Governor. of this Hospital of a
house Situate in the Precinct thereof (late in the possion of Thomas
Wallace
< no role > ) for the Terme of seven yeares to Comence from Lady Day
next at the Rent of twelve pounds P Ann payable quarterly And
that the said Edward Rew< no role > had agreed to Execute a Counter part of
the said Lease with such usual Covents. as are Contained in the Leases
from the Governors. of this Hospital to their Tentt. but that the Governors
were at the Charge of the said Hospital to mend the Tyleing the Toppr
of the Chimneys Hearths and floors belonging to the said house where
was necessary to be done and also to Glaze the Widowes Tye ye. Stair Case
wth. two Iron Doggs and Whitewash the said house and put up a
Chimney peice in the Parlour and Emty the house of Office and
to paint the Window frames Shutters & Cornish of the said house
and also the Street Door And that the said Edwd. Rew< no role > had given
two Shillings and Six pence to the poores box. This Court
doth Confirme the said Agreement And Order that a Lease
be accordingly made to the said Edwd. Rew.
