Locks guift the better to Enable him to carry on his said Trade
It is Ordered by this Court: That Mr Ladde Mr Parker and Mr
Somers be desired to make Enquiry of the said Mark Hobbs
whether he be so sett up for himselfe in his said trade and of
his hopefullness therein and to make Report thereof to this
Court:

Also Att this Court Robert Heath< no role > who was brought up an
Apprentice with John Fowler< no role > Glover be made a Freeman of this
City:

Buck James to have £5
P Cent for £100 for his
life


Also This Court being acquainted by Mr Trear and
Capt Phillips one of the Governors of these Hosplls and Mr William
Thompson
< no role > the Painter Imployed by these Hosplls [..]
That one James Buck< no role > of the Middle Temple London Esqr of ye age of
70 years or thereabouts will give the Hospll of Bridewell One hundred
pounds upon executing to him a Bond under the seale of the said
Hospll for the payment of £5 P Cent P annm to him or his use
dureing the terme of his naturall life It is thereupon Ordered by
this Court That the said One hundred pounds be accepted of ye
said Mr Buck and security given him accordingly And that Mr
Trear Gardiner and Capt Phillips with the sd Mr Thompson do
wait on the said Mr Buck for receiveing the said money and
do returne him the thanks of this Court for the same:

Also the said Mr Trear likewise acquainted this Court
That Mr William Willcox< no role > Woodmonger a Tenant to the sd
Hospll of Bridewell had acquainted him That he the said Wm
Willcox
< no role > had a Bond from the late Lord Cornwallis dated the 1st
August 1692 of the penalty of £300. for the payment of £150.
wch he would give to the said Hospll: for the good and benefit
thereof and would Leave himselfe to the Governors of the sd
Hospll: to returne himwhat sume
they shall think fitt when they should gett the same
Whereupon It is Ordered by this Court That Mr Trear
Capt Phillips Mr Cottle Mr Tirwitt and Mr Warburton or any
two of them together with the said Mr Willcox do wait on
Sr . Stephen Fox< no role > the Exor of the said Lord Cornwallis or any
others concerned therein and do take such methods for recovery
thereof as to them shall seem meet
