Also this Court being Informed by severall of the Govrs
here prsent That on the 5th day of Novr Instant Some of
the Apprentices of this Hospll had in and Indolent manner
demanded money od sane genll and perticularly of one of the
Govrs of this Hospll and had otherwise misbehaved themselves
on occasion of the Solenmity on Gun powder [..] treason day
to the dishonour of this House It is therefore Ordered
That for the future no apprentice or apprentices be suffered
to have his or their liberty on any Festivall day [..]
or day of Solenmity wthout the leave of their respective
Mars And that the Beadles of this house do take care
that no boy of this house be permitted to go out on such days
and that the Porter so keep the gates lockt And If any
Apprentice of this Hospll shall be seen abroad on such days
wthout the leave of his or their Master contrary to the
order aforesd. such apprentice for his offence shall be deputed
of the benefit of Mr Locks quift

stay in the house till

Also This Court being Informed by Mr Trear that ye
place of Youngest Beadle was Vacant by the death of Tho
Martyn
< no role > and this Court takeing in to consideracord the necessary
that his Widow Mary Martyn< no role > was likely to Midergoe
haveing two children to provide for Doth Order That the
be permitted to per take of the profitts of her late husbands
place and of the Poors Box untill Christmas next and
that the Remaine in the roomes wherein her late husband
dwelt untill Midsomer day next And for prventing the
like Inconveniencies that may happen for the future It is
Ordered by this Court That no person be from hence forth
admitted to serve in the place of a Beadle of this Hospll till
sufficent security to the good likeing of Mr Trear for the
time being be first given by such Beadle for the faithfull
discharge of his place and for Indeminfying the Hospll from
the charge of his wife and Family allho he should be Elected
there to:

upon the severall humble Peticons of Richard Reynolds< no role >
Moses Farley< no role > Henry Smith< no role > Geo: Langbridge< no role > Joseph Dawson< no role >
Wm Wrench< no role > John Strawbridge< no role > and James Gerst< no role > for one of
them to be Elected Beadle of the Hospll of Bridewell in the
room of Tho: Martyn< no role > deced and they being all putt in nominated
It appeared plainly That the plurallity of hands were for
the said Joseph Tawson< no role > and Richd Reynolds< no role > who being again
putt in nominacon for one of them to be elected thereunto
The Rt. Worspll Sr Robt Geffery< no role > Knt and Aldran Prsidt of the
said Hospll was pleased to declare That in his Opinion the
