of Mault And the Great duty upon Salt he may have a further
Allowance there for Whereupon this Court haveing duely weighed
and considered of the matter of the said Petition doe think fitt and
soe Ordr. That Mr. Trear Doe give & pay unto him Fifty pounds as
a Free Gratuity of said Court in respect of the Money he had beene
out of Pockett upon the Accounts aforesd. To be Allowed Mr. Trear in his
next Account

Also Upon the humble Petition of James Male< no role > Eldest Beadle of the Sd.
Hospll Stewing that during the Illness of the late Porter of the Hospll. of Bridewell for about Hour
yeares last past He Officiated & performed the Business of the Sd. Peace
and hath frequently on all Occasions (besides the Loss of his Time wherein
lid [..] might have gott some thing) Expended his owne money in the doeing
thereof yett never had on Farthing Benefilt Hereby And further That
the Petrs. Eldest Son Willm Maile< no role > was by Ordr. of this Court putt
Apprentice to an Arts mar. of the sd. Hospll And about 4 Years Since had
the Misfortune to Receive a Blow upon his Right Legg wth. after wards
grew to such a Heighth & soe very ill yt. your Petr. was forced to take
him house And by the Ordr. of the Rt. Worspll. the Presidt. of the so Hosplls
he was ser some time taken Care of by the Surgeon there of & afterwds
removed to St. Thomas Hospll. and from thence to severall person
of note in Order to his Cure wth. he hath not yett obtained nor has he
any great hopes there of see that the Petr. hath actually been at
above £40. charge there in and in providing his said Son wth dyett &
necessaryes for all the time aforesd. where by the Petr. is Reduced to a
very poore and low Condicon and has been obliged to contract severall [..]
debts towards the defraying the Sd. Charge having a Wife and 4 othr.
children to Maintaine Humbly praying there of she Consideracon of
this Court therein as to Such Allowance towards the said Charge
and the Petr. Support As [..] shall be thought meet Where upon
this Court having Considred. the Pr. mised And alsoe that the said Boy
was very well and Sound when Admitted Apprentice into the Sd
Hospll. and is now under the Imediate Care and direction of this
Court Doe think fitt and sot Order That Mr. Trear doe give and pay
unto him the said James Male< no role > Five and twenty pounds as a
Free Gratuity of this Court to be allowed Mr. Trear in his next
Acct.

Elected and Confirmed Chapplewardens of the Hospll. and Precinct
of Bridewell For the Yeare Ensueing.
