Stephen M'Donnald proceedingsdefend , John Berry proceedingsdefend This name instance is in set 3516. , James Egan , otherwise Gabagan proceedingsdefend , and James Salmon proceedingsdefend , were indicted for being accessaries before a felony committed by Peter Kelly < no role > and John Ellis < no role > on the person of the defendant James Salmon < no role > , in the county of Kent, on the 23d of July, in maliciously and feloniously abetting, assisting, counselling, hiring, and commanding the said Ellis and Kelly to commit the said robbery, with intent to procure to themselves the rewards allowed by the statute, and some farther rewards offered by the inhabitants of the parish of Greenwich, &c .

The jury found them guilty of all the facts charged in the indictment; but a point of law arising, it was made special, and left to be considered by the twelve judges.

This being a trial of so extraordinary a nature, we cannot do justice to the public, whom we would always oblige, if we curtail it; there fore it will be published at large in a few days.
