day of August 1784 at the Parish of St. Margt.
within the Liberty of Westmr. in the County of
Midsex upon an Inquisition touching the
death of Joseph Godfrey< no role > a Prisoner in
Tothill Field Bridewell

Bridewell on her Oath saith That Joseph Godfray< no role >
the Deced has been Prisoner there about Four
Months, That he appeared to be well until
last Thursday was Sevinght, when he
complained of a violent pain in his Head
and soon after a Fever came on, That
he grew worse Livily, and died between
Seven and Eight o'Clock this Morning,
Says that the Deced had his Allowance
from the Governor constantly, and has
not been ill used by any Person in
the Prison, and that the Deced died
of the Fever, in a natural Way.
