The Information of Foulk Withers< no role > of the
Parish of St Margaretts Westmr . Flaa

This Informant sayeth that he together with John Dent< no role > were on the
Eighteenth day of this Instant March in aid of Samuel Bray< no role > Cons [..]
for the said City and Liberty and that whilst the said Constable [..]
-ing search they waited at the Watch house in Covent Garden for his
return and Whilst they were there Philip Cholmondley< no role > This name instance is in set 3009. came to them
and said the Constable meaning the said Bray and his Assistants were
assaulted by soldiers with naked swords and was [..]
ensue therefore begged of them this Informant and the said John Dent< no role > This name instance is in set 2759.
for Good sake to go to the said Constables Assistance which accordingly
this Informant and the said John Dent< no role > did and when they were come
up where the said Constable and his Assistants were, William Arch< no role >
made a violent thrust at this Informant with his Naked Sword
whereupon this Informant retired back. And this Informant
heard the said John Dent< no role > advise the said Arch Jeremiah Tooley
and John Clawson< no role > to be quiet and go about their business for that
nobody meddled with them and that the Constable was about her
Majestyes be con [..] ward to [..] without the least [..]
-tion given to them he saw she said Arch, Tooley, and Clawson with
their swords drawn make towards the said John Dent< no role > and presently
the said John Dent< no role > came from among them and desired to be
carryed off for that they meaning the said Arch Tooley and Clawson
had dangerously wounded him which accordingly this Informant
together with of John Taylor< no role > with great difficulty did and this
Informant further sayes that in a little time after as he verily
believes the said John Dent< no role > died of the wound he had received as
