<p n="2467">the purchase of the same at the sum of Three Thousand Six hundred Fifty One<lb></lb>
pounds and Ordered That the said Two Legacies should be applyed as part of<lb></lb>
the said purchase mony And that the Remainder should be paid out of the<lb></lb>
said Hospital's Cash of which Agreement Notice being given to the Executors<lb></lb>
and Trustees of the said Mr Colston they approved of the said purchase And the<lb></lb>
said Legacy of Five hundred Pounds was thereupon paid to Mr. Treasurer the<lb></lb>
said other Legacie having been paid to him some time before And the Title<lb></lb>
of the said Estate having been perused and approved by Council The said<lb></lb>
Estate was Conveyed to this Governors of this Hospital by Indenture of Bargain<lb></lb>
and Sale Inrolled in the Court of Chancery bearing Date the Nineth day of<lb></lb>
December 1723. And the Rents and Profits of the said Estate are to belong to this<lb></lb>
Hospital from Michaelmas then last past.</p>
<p n="2468">We have Joyned with the London Workhouse in the Charge of having a<lb></lb>
Survey taken and a Plan made of the Estate at Ellestree in Cambridge Shire The<lb></lb>
Revertion whereof is given to this Hospital and the said Workhouse in equal<lb></lb>
Shares by Dr. Williams Deceased after the Death of Mrs.who as we<lb></lb>
are informed is lately Dead And We have Agreed to Joine with the said Workhouse in<lb></lb>
Letting a Lease of the said Estate on the best Termes that can be reasonably had for the<lb></lb>
same.</p>

In Consideration of a Fine of Fifteen hundred Pounds whereof<lb></lb>
Thirteen hundred is paid down and the other Two hundred pounds is to be Allowed him<lb></lb>
towards the Charges he has been at in Laying a New Shine a Little before the end of<lb></lb>
his old Lease and the Charges of Repairing and amending the Marsh Walls just<lb></lb>
before and since the End of his said Lease That he shall have a New Lease Granted<lb></lb>
him for One and Twenty Years from Michaelmas 1724. of the said Demesnes and<lb></lb>
also of the Market House in <rs type="placeName" id="LMTHMG55301_geo1007">Alvethley</rs>

Lease being Michas 1724. and to performe all the Covenants in the Old Lease<lb></lb>
to that time And he Remits all Demands for any Allowances in respect of<lb></lb>
his Charges about making or laying the said new sluice and Repairing the<lb></lb>
said Marsh Walls and all other Charges relating to the said Estate to the time<lb></lb>
of the said Agreement The like Covenants are to be contained in the new Lease<lb></lb>
as are in the Old Except those which relate to the Building a New House and<lb></lb>
the Planting of Trees and an Orchard.</p>
<p n="2470">Upon a View taken of our Houses in Wapping and the Wharfes thereunto<lb></lb>
belonging We found the Wharfes of Eight of them which were made with<lb></lb>
Timber and plank and were out of Lease to be much Decayed And Judging<lb></lb>
it to be for service of the Hospital to have the said Wharfes New Built<lb></lb>
with Brick work rather than to repaire the <rs type="placeName" id="LMTHMG55301_geo1008">Old Woodon Wharfes</rs>

Yearly Rent of Sixteen pounds Tax Free payable Quarterly He is to put the<lb></lb>
said House into good Repaire and to keep the same at his own Charge during<lb></lb>
