or new wall to the Hospitall Marsh Ground in <rs type="placeName" id="LMTHMG55301_geo700">Alvethley</rs>

point without any notice Given to the Governors of this Hospitall<lb></lb>
and having left about Ten or Twelve Acres of the Marsh Ground<lb></lb>
between this New wall and the old wall net the Thames, which he<lb></lb>
intended for a Foreland to ye new wall He Suffered the old wall to<lb></lb>
wash away and the same is now almost wholly destroyed so that ye<lb></lb>
water every Tide doth overflow the remaines of the said old wall and<lb></lb>
also the said Ten or Twelve acres of Marsh ground and hath done so<lb></lb>
for Two or Three years past</p>
<p n="1815">But the Foot or Foundacon of the said old wall being Strengthned<lb></lb>
by Severall rows or Teeres of Pyles & Chalke doth as yet Secure & ptect<lb></lb>
the said Ten or Twelve Acres of Marsh Ground so left between the said<lb></lb>
walls from the force of the River and we observe that a Great<lb></lb>
Quantity of Slid hath Lodged and Setled on the said Marsh Ground<lb></lb>
between the said walls and are of opinion that the same will still<lb></lb>
increase and that the said Ten or Twelve Acres of Marsh Ground<lb></lb>
may in Time become a Good Foreland to the said new wall in Cass<lb></lb>
the Foundacon of the said old wall be prserved But we are of<lb></lb>
Opinion that if the Foundacon of the said old wall should be Slighted<lb></lb>
and not kept in such repaire for some years to come as may be<lb></lb>
sufficient to prserve the said intended Fore land and the Slud lodgeing<lb></lb>
thereupon from being washed away by he Streame the said now<lb></lb>
wall may be greatly endangered.</p>
<p n="1816">Wee have Considered the Severall Allegacons in the said Mr: Collyers<lb></lb>
peticon and the Pticulars of his Charges and Disbursements<lb></lb>
annexed thereunto</p>
