near it Fronting the Church yard for a term of Sixty one years from<lb></lb>
Lady day: 1691. at the rent of Eight pounds & Sixteen Shillings P Ann<lb></lb>
and was bound by Covenant to build the said last menconed Teneme<obscured></obscured>

in the space of Seaven years which is lately Clapsed and the House<lb></lb>
not built by ready to Fall The Comittee after several Views of the<lb></lb>
Premisses and many treaties with the Major have thought fitt<lb></lb>
to accept the Surrender of the said Lease and redemise only unto<lb></lb>
him the ground and Prmisses of & belonging to the said late burnt<lb></lb>
Messuage In consideracon of his New building another Substantial<lb></lb>
Brick house on part of the same ground and to incourage him thereunto<lb></lb>
we think fitt to increase the term in the said Leas for that ground<lb></lb>
onely to Sixty one years from Midsumer last being an adicon of eight<lb></lb>
years & one quarter of a year tot he present terme and remitt the two<lb></lb>
years rent reserved on the said Lease and that the rent for the same alone<lb></lb>
be reduced to Five pounds & Tenn Shillings per Anum which is Twenty<lb></lb>
two Shillings less then the old rent for the same and he to quitt his<lb></lb>
Interest in the other Tenement Demised by the said Lease for which<lb></lb>
the rent of Forty Four Shillings is reserved by the Prsent Lease joyntly<lb></lb>
with the other rent but charged distinctly in our accompts And we<lb></lb>
were the rather inclined to this Agreement in as much as the Ground<lb></lb>
of the last menconed Tenements adjoyning to the new intended<lb></lb>
burying place for patients dying in the Hospital was in our Opinions very<lb></lb>
fitt to be added thereunto which being done the said rent of Forty Four<lb></lb>
Shillings will be extinguished & therefore must from hence forth<obscured></obscured>

the: 11th: instant they accordingly came but he appeared not and it<lb></lb>
was proved to us that when he was told on the Saturday before he<lb></lb>
should then attend he said he could not be at home nor would not<lb></lb>
give any such account, he had no time to do it, or words to that F<obscured></obscured>

& went out of Tonne the day before without leave of the Treasurer</p>
