<p n="2174">Mr. Steere the Surveyor who agreed to take a<lb></lb>
Lease of the house in the Old Bailey late held<lb></lb>
byJohnson laid before the Committee an<lb></lb>
Account of the repairs done at that house amounting<lb></lb>
to a much larger Sum than what he was by his<lb></lb>
Contract to lay out & prayed to have an allowance<lb></lb>
in respect of such repairs.</p>

& Mr. Walburge or any two of them are appointed<lb></lb>
a Committee & desired to view the said house<lb></lb>
& to report their opinion of the said Repairs</p>
<p n="2176">The Steward inform'd the Committee that<lb></lb>
Mrs. Galton Widow of Mr. Galton deceased who<lb></lb>
held the Vaults under the Church, prays the<lb></lb>
favour of putting up a small Monument for<lb></lb>
her said husband in the Church against the Wall.</p>
<p n="2177">Resolved<lb></lb>
That such liberty be given to the said<lb></lb>
Mrs. Galton she giving five Guineas for the use<lb></lb>
of the poor of the Hospital, & Mr. Steere the Surveyor<lb></lb>
is directed to see that no damage be done to the<lb></lb>
Church Wall by such Monument.</p>
<p n="2178">Mr. Treasurer acquainted the Committee<lb></lb>
that he is inform'd that the Soil from the Ship Inn<lb></lb>
sokes into the Wash house belonging to the Hospitalr's<lb></lb>
house whereby the Wall is greatly prejudiced &<lb></lb>
the family much offended.</p>
<p n="2179">Order'd<lb></lb>
That the Clerk do write to the Owners of<lb></lb>
the said Inn to build such a wall as will effectually<lb></lb>
prevent such Offence or they will be said for a<lb></lb>
Nusance.</p>
