above referred to, the Treasurer of this Hospital wrote to your<lb></lb>

(Perhaps it was never received) not having produced any Answer.<lb></lb>
from you Mr Chamber this Hospital's Agent having business<lb></lb>
on Yorkshire last Spring, to used an opportunity of calling upon<lb></lb>
your Agent (you at that time being in London) & represented to him<lb></lb>
the Necessity & Property of having these Arrear settled, & of the Rent<lb></lb>
infuture being annually & regularly paid; & he promised to report<lb></lb>
his Application to your, and hope you would give Orders for its<lb></lb>
being attended to. But as some Months have once clapsed, &<lb></lb>
the Matter remains in statue que, I am under the Necessity, once<lb></lb>
more, of prepery it upon your Consideration, & flatter myself<lb></lb>
you will immediately order a Remittance for the three years<lb></lb>
Arrears due at Lady day last, say fifty nine pound 14/-<lb></lb>

I am favoured with your Letter of yesterday, date on the<lb></lb>
subject of the Waid Communication relative to a Portion of land<lb></lb>
belonging to the Hospital being necessary for presenting the<lb></lb>
Works of the Kennet & Avon Canal: and as it is impossible to<lb></lb>
page till you have been on the Spot, & reported your Sen-<lb></lb>
-timents thereon, I shall suspensry my Opinion till I am favoured<lb></lb>
therewith.Serve my <obscured></obscured>
the honorary Officer of<lb></lb>
Treasurer to this extensive Charity it has been my determined<lb></lb>
Resolution not to encourage any Attention of its property, even<lb></lb>
under an Act of Parliament, if it can be avoided. I therefore<lb></lb>
by to observe that an Exchange would be move agreeable to<lb></lb>
my Wishes, & I beleive those of the Grand Committee provided<lb></lb>
it can be effected on Tenses advantageous is to the Hospital.<lb></lb>
