St Thomas Hospital of which I have the Honour of being<lb></lb>
Treasurer has a small Estate at Gosport the lease of which expence <lb></lb>
Ladyday next; as it my anxious Wish to promote the Interest of<lb></lb>
this noble Institution, you will most particularly oblige me by<lb></lb>
employing a proper Person to ascertain the Value of the Premises upon<lb></lb>
a repairing Lease of 21 Years. We have already had Application for<lb></lb>
them, but as I understand they are well situate for Trade I hope<lb></lb>
they well commance a respectable responsible Tenant .The present<lb></lb>
Rent ( says a letter dated 19 Feby. 1799) in £80 P Ann. I am <lb></lb>
persuaded you well excuse the Liberty I take engesing you this<lb></lb>

due from R. Daniel at Michmas last. The Treasurer will be pleased<lb></lb>
to hear that the Daniel has received such Assistance as well enable<lb></lb>
him to give Scope to her Industry & Management, for next to the Security<lb></lb>

the Hospital by the Prosperity of its Tenants is the pleasure<lb></lb>
arising to these who are concerned in the Management of its Affairs from<lb></lb>
that very Prosperity we know that the Hospital Revenues are applied<lb></lb>
to the but Purposes the Relief of Indegence of money, of when we also<lb></lb>
know that those Revenues are deserved from Somers which yeeted them<lb></lb>
chearfully & gratefully, the Institution may he said to be abeneficent<lb></lb>
are indeced; to be blest in what it receives as well as gives.</p>
