I am now to acknowledge the Receipt of the Colliery Accounts up<lb></lb>
to the 1 Inst. & also of your Letter of the 26th. inclosing a Bell on yeats<lb></lb>
Brown & Co. for £79.3.9 (due the 23 June) which at maturity<lb></lb>
well be placed to your Credit for the Balance of the Colliery Account<lb></lb>
(outstanding Debts excepted) to lady day lastI had placed that £1.10.6<lb></lb>

for leading wood with March Account, but observey that<lb></lb>
you have put it in the April Accot. & not deducted it in the balance<lb></lb>
now remitted, I have altered the Accot. to make it correspond well your<lb></lb>
& make the balance due to the Hospital the 1st May £59.9.10 which<lb></lb>
I preserve you will find right.<lb></lb>
A Letter form the Treasurer crossed your on the road to which I<lb></lb>
dure say you will speedily reply. Referring you to him for<lb></lb>
whatever may require noticing in your last Letter, & thankg you for<lb></lb>

for the Colliery but think the Lease ought not to before longer Term<lb></lb>
then 21 years, or with an option on the part of the Hospital in case<lb></lb>
