Sir.<lb></lb>
When a Licence was granted by the Governors of this Hospital<lb></lb>
for Mrs Gordon to assign her lease hold Premises at Bully Hill to you<lb></lb>
I desired her Attorney to inform you that she had an Insurance<lb></lb>
on them (in her own Name & mixed well other Property) which expence<lb></lb>
at Xmas next & which it will be Prepar to renew. By a Covenant<lb></lb>
in the Lease you will find that the Policy of Insurance should<lb></lb>
be taken out in the Name of the Treasurer of the Hospital &<lb></lb>
reported at the Compting House here; it is therefore the Usage<lb></lb>
of the Hospital to make the Insurance for 7 Years at once, & to<lb></lb>
receive the Account from the Tenant. I wish therefore to inform<lb></lb>
you of this Circumstance to prevent a double insurance being<lb></lb>
made & I have to add that by an old Policy of this Gordons, the<lb></lb>
discription of the Premises "An a House on <rs type="placeName" id="LMTHLB55003_geo214">Bully Hill</rs>

as you need be aware that the Lessee must be answerable of<lb></lb>
the Insurance is insufficient. I will thank you for an Answer<lb></lb>
on this Subject that I may be prepared to make the Insurance<lb></lb>
at Christmas & you will let me know at the same Time to<lb></lb>
when I shall apply for the Money as well as for the Rent.<lb></lb>
as it is the usage of this Hospital to renew it regularly &<lb></lb>
half yearly as Lady day Mechimas in every Year.Your<lb></lb>
have doubtless also been informed that there is Schedule<lb></lb>
of features upon the Premises which are the Hospital Property<lb></lb>
