Just after I had wrote a Letter in answer to yours<lb></lb>
of the 11 inst. the Postman brought another to one of 18 inst<lb></lb>
wherein you desire that if yours of the 11<gap reason="illegible"></gap>
inst. with a Bill<lb></lb>

at Michas last, had not as yet come to hand, I would Stop<lb></lb>
payment when it did, that is, you would not have me present<lb></lb>
the Bill for Acceptance. This is all I thank you can mean, or <lb></lb>
intend I should understand , Now that Letter arriving in<lb></lb>
due course, the Bill was tendered the very next day, & was Ac-<lb></lb>
cepted accordingly, and when due (which is not till Thursday<lb></lb>
next) is made payable at Sr. <rs type="persName" id="LMTHLB55002_n1543-2">Jos Haukey</rs>

An Monday last I reced a Letter from M Sankey wherein<lb></lb>
he acquaints me that he shall Fall an Acre & half of Hunt wood<lb></lb>
this Year. It also requests a little Timber for Repairs such as<lb></lb>
posts & Rails a All and Door. case for the Stable and also<lb></lb>
some more Laths for the Waggon Lodge he having already<lb></lb>
had three Bundles from M. Mount. You will therefore<lb></lb>
see that when he Cutts the said Wood that the Timber Trees<lb></lb>
are preserved & that he is govern'd by the Covenants on his<lb></lb>
Lease respecting his cutting the Woods. As to the Repairs<lb></lb>
you will please to Allow him rough Timber necessary for<lb></lb>
them or as you shall think convenient</p>
