<p n="486"> Officer or Officers appointed to muster the said Men, at such Muster to<lb></lb>
discharge such Man from Service; and the Deputy Lieutenants and Jus<lb></lb>
tices assembled at any Meeting within the same Sub-division shall and they<lb></lb>
are hereby required to amend the List and Enrolment, as the Case may<lb></lb>
require, and to cause another Appointment to be made upon the Person<lb></lb>
before appointed to the same Service, or another Ballot to be taken from<lb></lb>
the same Class, according to the Circumstances of the Case, and as if no<lb></lb>
former Appointment had been made or Ballot been had.</p>
<p n="487">And be it further enacted, That all Fines, Penalties, and Forfeit<lb></lb>
ures, to be imposed by virtue of this Act, for any Breach of the Regu<lb></lb>
lations thereof, which are hereby directed to be added to the respective<lb></lb>
Assessments of the said Duties on Horses, (except such Fines as shall be <lb></lb>
imposed at a Muster had under this Act in Manner before directed), shall<lb></lb>
be ordered, adjudged, and imposed, at the respective Sub-division Meet-<lb></lb>
ings of the County, Riding, or Place, where such Offences shall be com<lb></lb>
mitted, by the Deputy Lieutenants and Justices there attending, or any<lb></lb>
Two or more of them, who are hereby empowered finally to determine<lb></lb>
the same; and all such Fines, Penalties, and Forfeitures, which are<lb></lb>
hereby directed to be added to the respective Assessments of the said Du<lb></lb>
ties on Horses, shall, as soon after Adjudication thereof as may be con<lb></lb>
venient, be certified by the Deputy Lieutenants and others hereby em<lb></lb>
powered to adjudge the same, under the Hands and Seals of any Two or<lb></lb>
more of them respectively, to the Commissioners of the Land Tax of <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMPS50934_geo438">the<lb></lb>
Division</rs>

where the Person against whom the same is directed to be levied<lb></lb>
is charged to the said Duties on Horses; and such Commissioners shall,<lb></lb>
on Receipt of any such Certificate, cause the Fine or Fines contained<lb></lb>
therein, to be added to the then last Assessment of such Person for the said<lb></lb>
Duties on Horses, and to be levied in the Manner, and under the like<lb></lb>
Powers, as the Duties on Horses may be levied by any Law now in<lb></lb>
Force.</p>
<p n="488">And be it further enacted, That all Lists of Persons appointed or<lb></lb>
chosen by Ballot to provide Men for the said Service, and of the Classes<lb></lb>
composing the same, shall be carefully transcribed into a Book to be pre<lb></lb>
pared by Order of every Sub-division Meeting of Lieutenancy, and kept<lb></lb>
by the Clerk of such Meetings; and that all Orders, Regulations, and<lb></lb>
Proceedings of such Meetings; and also of the General Meetings of<lb></lb>
Lieutenancy, made in pursuance of this Act, shall also be carefully tran<lb></lb>
scribed into a Book or Books to be prepared by Order of such Meetings<lb></lb>
respectively, and kept by the respective Clerks thereof; which Books<lb></lb>
shall be open to the Inspection of any Person assessed to the said Duties<lb></lb>
on Horses, within the same County, Riding, or Shire, at all seasonable<lb></lb>
Times, paying Sixpence, and no more, for each Inspection; and that no<lb></lb>
Order, Adjudication, or Proceeding whatever, of any General Meeting,<lb></lb>
9or<lb></lb>
or Sub-division Meeting of Lieutenancy, holden in pursuance of this Act,<lb></lb>
shall be subject to Appeal, nor to be removed by Certiorari, or other Writ<lb></lb>
or Process, into any Court whatsoever.</p>
<p n="489">And be it further enacted, That it shall be lawful for His Majesty<lb></lb>
to cause the Men enrolled by virtue of this Act, to be drawn out and em<lb></lb>
bodied at such Times, and in such Manner, and under the like Regulations<lb></lb>
and Restrictions, as the Augmentation to the Militia Forces to be raised by<lb></lb>
virtue of any Act to be passed in this Session of Parliament, may be drawn<lb></lb>
out and embodied; and it shall be lawful for His Majesty to form the<lb></lb>
Men enrolled for any County, Riding, or Place, when so drawn out and<lb></lb>
embodied, into a Regiment, or into Battalions or Troops, as shall seem most<lb></lb>
expedient; and for the Lieutenant, or General Meeting of Lieutenancy, in<lb></lb>
such County, Riding, or Place, to be holden as herein is directed, with the<lb></lb>
Approbation of His Majesty, at any Time after the passing of this Act,<lb></lb>
to appoint Officers and Non-commissioned Officers to the Command of<lb></lb>
such Regiment, Battalions, or Troops, under the like Rules and Regu<lb></lb>
lation as are established with respect to the Cavalry of His Majesty's<lb></lb>
Forces, such Officers being respectively qualified in the Manner required<lb></lb>
by the Laws relating to the Militia; and in case when the Men so en<lb></lb>
rolled shall be embodied, a sufficient Number of Officers so qualified<lb></lb>
shall not have been appointed, or Troops, it shall be lawful for the Lieu<lb></lb>
tenant, or General Meeting of Lieutenancy aforesaid, with the Approbation<lb></lb>
of His Majesty, to appoint for that Service such a Number of the Officers<lb></lb>
in the Army, whether on Full or on Half Pay, or of Persons who have had<lb></lb>
Commissions in any of His Majesty's Forces, or in the Militia, and have<lb></lb>
retired therefrom, although not duly qualified as aforesaid.</p>
<p n="490">Provided always, and be it further enacted, That neither the Whole<lb></lb>
or any Part of the Men enrolled by virtue of this Act, shall on any<lb></lb>
Account be carried or ordered to go out of Great Britain.</p>
<p n="491">And be it further enacted, That from the Dare of His Majesty's<lb></lb>
Warrant for drawing out and embodying the Forces to be raised by<lb></lb>
virtue of this Act, the Officers and Private Men shall be entitled to the<lb></lb>
same Pay as the Officers and Private Men of His Majesty's other Regi<lb></lb>
ments of Cavalry receive, and no other; and if any Non-commissioned<lb></lb>
Officer or Private Man of any such Regiment, Battalion, or Troop, shall be<lb></lb>
maimed or wounder in actual Service, he shall be equally entitled to the<lb></lb>
Benefit of <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMPS50934_geo439">Chelsea Hospital</rs>

with any Non-commissioned Officer or Priavte<lb></lb>
Man belonging to any of His Majesty's other Forces; and if any Mare or<lb></lb>
Gelding shall die or be maimed or wounded in actual Service, the Pro<lb></lb>
prietor thereof shall have a reasonable Allowance for the same, by the Cer<lb></lb>
tificate of the Commanding Officer of the Regiment, Battalion, or Com<lb></lb>
