The Surveyor of the Brantford Turnpike<lb></lb>
Road, having at a Board of Trustees that was held on<lb></lb>
Saturday the 12th.. of this instt. Novr. Reported, that the<lb></lb>
Footway of <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMPS50931_geo160">Brentford Bridge</rs>

had given way, and that<lb></lb>
in Consequence he had procured a <rs type="occupation" id="LMSMPS50931_occ68">Carpenter</rs>
<interp inst="LMSMPS50931_occ68" type="occupation" value="Carpenter"></interp>
& Builder<lb></lb>
in the neighbourhood to look at it with him, when they<lb></lb>
discovered that several of the Joists were broke and many<lb></lb>
others much decayed whereby that part of the Bridge was<lb></lb>
very likely to fall unless something was done speedily to<lb></lb>
prevent it I trouble you with this therefore agreable<lb></lb>
to an Order of that Board to request that you will lay the<lb></lb>
above matter before the Magistrates at their next<lb></lb>
Session, and desire them to give immediate directions<lb></lb>
to their surveyor, to put the Order which was long ago<lb></lb>
made for the repair of the said Bridge in to immediate</p>
