when the Appellant used to go every Morning between 5<lb></lb>

Night sometimes the Respondent would not make his appearance at the Shop<lb></lb>
at any time in the day when the Boy has been left without Victuals and <lb></lb>
sometimes he has staid away from the shop for a Week togr. the Boy waitg.<lb></lb>
for him in Expectation of his coming there to give him Victuals and at<lb></lb>
length he has been obliged to apply to his Father and Friends for Money to<lb></lb>
buy him Food . He continued at this Shop about 12 Months and then he<lb></lb>
came back to where he now lives-There he has behaved frequently to the<lb></lb>
Boy in a very Cruel manner. Has frequently come home Drunk and <lb></lb>
Beat him and has continued Drunk for a Week together-The Respondt.<lb></lb>
havg. very frequently complained to his Father upon this Subject as well as<lb></lb>
upon the Ill treatment of the Boy by beatg. etc. without Effect The Father<lb></lb>
had him taken before Justice Addington but on accot of the premium<lb></lb>
being above £5 sd. he could not discharge him and advised him to apply<lb></lb>
to the Sessions-But however the Father was desirous of making another<lb></lb>
Tryal and permitted the Boy to go home again</p>
<p n="229">The Respondent made no amendment in his Conduct towards the<lb></lb>
Boy-he got Drunk as usual almost dailey and did not attempt to teach<lb></lb>
the Boy his Trade. On the other hand was continually I ll using him</p>
<p n="230">On the 20th. of June last about 5 o Clock in the afternoon the Boy<lb></lb>
went out to Buy a Paunch for his Masters Dog and while he was boiling it<lb></lb>
the Respondent came in Drunk and ask'd him what he was blowing the<lb></lb>
fire away for. He say'd it was to Boil the Paunch-Nothing further was<lb></lb>
said</p>
