It seems the Paupers Husband was a Soldier and dead in Relsea Hopsital of<lb></lb>
after his death she became Acquainted with another Solider with whom<lb></lb>
she lived of Cohabited in the <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMPS50906_geo429">Parish of St Margaret</rs>

Westmr. and wanted<lb></lb>
nothing from the parish but in for tunately proving with Child the Attracted<lb></lb>
the Notice of the Parish officers or of their Officers Beadle & she was taken<lb></lb>
up to give an Account of her Settlement or the Father of her Child both of<lb></lb>
which she readily did and declared that the man he lived with was not only<lb></lb>
able out willing to take care of her being a Serjeant in the Surrey Number<lb></lb>
but this did not Satisfy them. they Insisted upon removing het to her Settlemts.<lb></lb>
& the Woman not willing to be sent a long way off she moor that her<lb></lb>
Husband was a Scotchman but could not tell where he belonged to but<lb></lb>
that her our Maiden Settlement was in the Parish of <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMPS50906_geo430">Saint George<lb></lb>
South wark</rs>

in Scotland tht he went into the County at 16 yrs.<lb></lb>
& Age to never Sained any other Settlement and therefore the Appellant<lb></lb>
say the Responds. ought to have sent to Pauper the Child to Dothall the<lb></lb>
place of the Husbands Settlement, to this Settlement no Respondts. Answer<lb></lb>
that suppose it is True the Parish where it is is in Scotland & they had no</p>
