These charges include the expence of apprehending Vagrants over<lb></lb>

to the demands made on it under both Commissions for the rewards<lb></lb>
adjudged to those who apprehend Vagrants.</p>

The Expence of passing Vagrants in the thro & out of the <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMPS50652_geo461">County of<lb></lb>
Middlesex</rs>

was formerly a very heavy charge on their Treasury;<lb></lb>
but by the care and attention of the Justices to the Interest of<lb></lb>
the County, it is now brought within the Limits of moderation.<lb></lb>
No later than the Year 1757 the amount of this Article of<lb></lb>
Expence alone was not less than a £1000 per annum; it is now<lb></lb>
