any mischief but on Wednesday night about Eight OClock they again <lb></lb>
attached the said Petitioners house broke Twenty two Sash Squares of Glass<lb></lb>
and did other Damage to his house, They then broke into the house of the <lb></lb>
petitioner Marsden destroyed part of his Furniture and did him other<lb></lb>
considerable damage They then proceeded to one green's house armed with<lb></lb>
Cutlasses Hatchels Muskets and other offensive weapons and Endeavoured<lb></lb>
to break into the house; to prevent which he was Obliged to have recourse to<lb></lb>
Fire arms and for the preservation of the lives of himself and family,<lb></lb>
was under the disagreeable necessity of firing upon these<obscured></obscured>

forcing themselves into his house whereby several were killed and other<lb></lb>
wounded and a party of the Guards coming down the Captain obliged <lb></lb>

on Asking pardon and acknowledging he was drunk That several of<lb></lb>
the Petitioners were obliged still to Abscond from their Dwelling houses<lb></lb>
were they had considerable property apprehending their lives in<lb></lb>
danger from these Rioters and therefore praying this Court to take<lb></lb>
their Case into consideration and that such methods might be taken<lb></lb>
for the preservation of the lives and properties of the Petitioners and <lb></lb>
other his Majesty's Subjects residing in that part of the said County<lb></lb>
