<p n="1">Baltimore House March 7th. 1768.</p>
<p n="2">An Account of what appeared upon opening the Body<lb></lb>
of Gibbon late Porter to Lord Baltimore.</p>
<p n="3">Upon the right Breast and Loins, a very Extensive Ex-<lb></lb>
-travasation of blood was observable under the Skin, spreading<lb></lb>
itself to the Shoulder, to the Arm, & even to the opposite said<lb></lb>
of the Body: and the Integuments being divided, the Cellular<lb></lb>
membrane in all these parts, appeared loaded with extravasated<lb></lb>
and Coagulated blood.</p>
<p n="4">The Thorax being opened, a considerable<lb></lb>
quantity, both of fluid and coagulated blood, was found in its<lb></lb>
right cavity.</p>
<p n="5">The Seventh, eighth, ninth & tenth Ribs on the right side were frac-<lb></lb>
-tured. The seventh in one part only, the eighth in two places<lb></lb>
and the ninth in three: the tenth, was only cracked through<lb></lb>
its external Cortical plate.</p>
<p n="6">The Heart was very Sound.<lb></lb>
One Lobe of the <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMPS50581_geo1">Lungs</rs>

, appeared<lb></lb>
very black & stuffed up with extravasated blood-The other<lb></lb>
Lobe was pretty sound & healthy, but adhered strongly to the<lb></lb>

in the left side were in a very good<lb></lb>
state.</p>
<p n="7">The Liver was Dis cased-The Gall Bladder<lb></lb>
was also Discased, & contained several Stonly Concretions.</p>
<p n="8">The rest of the Abdominal Viscera, were in<lb></lb>
appearance, sound and healthy.</p>
