<p n="1111">Reasons Submitted that Newgate should be Rebuilt<obscured></obscured>
Judged necessary<lb></lb>
at the Expence of the City without Aid of the County.</p>
<p n="1112">That Goal hath been twice Rebuilt and from Time to Time repaired by the City and tho' it hath been<lb></lb>
a Goal near 600 years this is the first Attempt to charge the County.</p>
<p n="1113">On its being burnt down by the great Fire the City got a Grant from Parliament of one Shilling<lb></lb>
P Chald. Duty on Coals for making Goals for Felons and other Malefactors and for other Public<lb></lb>
Uses for a considerable Term.</p>
<p n="1114">The County maintain 3 Prisons exclusive of the Gatehouse which is maintained by the<lb></lb>

Court at the ending of the Sessions to be discharged.</p>
