about a Year after his said Marriage he was informed<lb></lb>
that the said Ann Had a Husband these being<lb></lb>

taxed this said Anns with her having been Married to<lb></lb>
the said Thomas Mowdey at the time of her Marriage<lb></lb>

Informant and that she the said Anns therefore<lb></lb>
confessed & Acknowledged the same and that the said,<lb></lb>
Thomas Mowdey was then living at <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMPS50507_geo70">Webston</rs>

Informant saith that the said Ann gave him<lb></lb>
as a Reason for her leaving the said Thomas Mowdey<lb></lb>
that he was one Old Man and used to feat her and other<lb></lb>
wised Misused her and this<gap reason="illegible"></gap>
Informant saith that as<lb></lb>
soon as her Conveniently could Vizt about Harvest time in<lb></lb>
the year 1760 he together with the said Ann took a Journey<lb></lb>
so Welston aforesaid this<gap reason="illegible"></gap>
Informant intending to have left<lb></lb>
the said Ann with the said Thomas Mowdey & for the more<lb></lb>
easy effecting thereof he this <gap reason="illegible"></gap>
Informant intended to be<lb></lb>
the Brother of the said Ann and this <gap reason="illegible"></gap>
Informant saith<lb></lb>
that as soon as he could find out the said Thomas Mowdey<lb></lb>
he still pretending to be the Brother of the said Ann<lb></lb>
told Mowdey that he had brought name hence his the <gap reason="illegible"></gap>
<lb></lb>
said Mowdey Wife an that it the did not take her again<lb></lb>
her this<gap reason="illegible"></gap>
Informant would trouble him the said Mowdey<lb></lb>
upon which Mowdey at first denyed that he knew her<lb></lb>
but several of the Neighbours and one of the parish<lb></lb>
Officers the Master of the brooked Billett Alehouse in<lb></lb>
whose House they then were telling him the said<lb></lb>
Mowdey that they turn her to be his Wife he the said<lb></lb>
Mowdey</p>
