not agreeing thereto the said Gordon in resentmt. with his Client the said<lb></lb>
Bucknall to prevent Deponent Suing him on his Demands form'd and<lb></lb>
Consulted the plan or Scheems for the former and present prosecucons<lb></lb>
in Order to ruin and destroy this Deponent and his family as this<lb></lb>
Deponent has undoubted reason to believe And this Deponent Saith that<lb></lb>
the Secretary at War having upon their sd Applicacon and upon Inquiry<lb></lb>
found their said Charge to be Malicious and groundless as this Dept.<lb></lb>
believes refused to give any direccon for the<obscured></obscured>

upon the sd. Charge And this Deponent was thereupon Admitted to Bail<lb></lb>

is Informed and believes and who is Intimate with the said Bucknall<lb></lb>
and Rowe as Depot: is informed came to this Deponent in the press yard where he then<lb></lb>
was and now is a prisoner since July last with his Children in<lb></lb>
great distress and Saith that the said Hodgins who this Deponent<lb></lb>
never had seen<del>before</del>
to his knowledge then sent a Letter Signed<lb></lb>
John Hodgins directed to this Depont. who was then in his Room<lb></lb>
and desiring the favour of Admittance to Speak to this Dept.<gap reason="illegible"></gap>

hand somely for Swearing and that if be cod. see this Depont. in<lb></lb>
Person he wod. let him know all their Intrigue and what Mr. Fox<lb></lb>
Secretary at War had told them the day before in his presence as by the<lb></lb>
sd. Letter in this Deponents Custody ready to be produced And this Depont.<lb></lb>
