Wee whose names are hereunto subscribed being of the Committee of<lb></lb>
his Maties. Justices of the peace for this County authorized by an Order<lb></lb>
made in May sessions last to treat with and contract with Workmen<lb></lb>
for repaire of such part of publique Bridge called Chelsea Bridge<lb></lb>
as is in this County, the same being very ruinous and a considerable<lb></lb>
part thereof being broken downe by the rottenness of the piles which<lb></lb>
supported the same, soe that an immediate rebuilding of such part<lb></lb>
of the said Bridge as in this County is absolutely necessary,<lb></lb>
doe hereby Certify to the Court of Generall Quarter Sessions of the peace<lb></lb>
holden for this County That wee have severall times assembled<lb></lb>
and mett together in relation to the premisses, and received the<lb></lb>
proposalls of Severall Workmen touching the rebuilding of the<lb></lb>
aforesaid part of the said Bridge, And have with great care and<lb></lb>
deliberation considered what timber planks and other materialls<lb></lb>
were proper to be provided and used and what Workmanship is<lb></lb>
proper to be performed in the rebuilding thereof, And to the<lb></lb>
intent that the same may be substantially and perfectly<lb></lb>
rebuilt with good and sound Oaken timber, piles, planks and all<lb></lb>

thereof, who have by Articles of agreement bearing date the<lb></lb>

last under their hands and seales made<lb></lb>
between them of the one part and us the said Justices of the<lb></lb>
other part covenanted and agreed for the sume of £680: well<lb></lb>
and sufficiently to rebuild the aforesaid part of the said Bridge<lb></lb>
with good and sound oaken timber, piles, planks Tinssell heads,<lb></lb>
posts, rails, gravell, Joyners worke, painting, Iron worke, and all<lb></lb>
other materialls of the scantlings and according to the Method<lb></lb>
and manner specifyed in the Account or estimate written under<lb></lb>
the said Articles, together with all other worke and materialls<lb></lb>
as well not mentioned therein as menconed in a good</p>
