at the Generall & Qur. Sessions of the peace held for this County,<lb></lb>
For that the sd Constables & Headboroughs have been<lb></lb>
remiss in their duty in observance of the sd. Orders &<lb></lb>
not carrying the Offenders before one or more of his<lb></lb>
Maties. Justices of the peace for this County to be punished<lb></lb>
according to their demerits, And alsoe upon reading<lb></lb>
of a prsentmt. made unto this Cort by the Grand Jury<lb></lb>
for this County representing to this Cort that of late<lb></lb>
there have been & still daily are divers loose idle &<lb></lb>
disorderly boys who wander about in severall streets & passages within the weekly<lb></lb>
Bills of mortality in this County under prtence of<lb></lb>
cleaning shoes, and wth. the money they gett thereby<lb></lb>
frequently game useing at their games most bitter Oaths<lb></lb>
& execracons, and that they humbly conceived them to<lb></lb>
be Vagrants & for the most part thieves or their spies<lb></lb>
& thereby very dangerous & prjudiciall to his Maties. Subjects<lb></lb>
& a Nusance likely to increase if not timely prvented,<lb></lb>
and that they hoped this Cort would make an order for<lb></lb>
the redressing such a growing evill, And If It further<lb></lb>
appeareing to this Cort by the complaint of severall<lb></lb>
Inhitants of this County, that severall Psons ride on<lb></lb>
carts, drays carrs or waggons not haveing any pson or psons<lb></lb>
on foot to guide<obscured></obscured>
or conduct the same, In contempt of<lb></lb>
one Act of parl made in the first yeare of the reign of his</p>
<p n="435">now Matie King George, Intituled, An Act for better<lb></lb>
regulateing hackney coaches, carts, drays carrs &<lb></lb>
waggons within the Citys of London & westmr. & the<lb></lb>
weekly Bills of mortality, and for prventing mischiefs<lb></lb>
occasioned by the Drivers rideing upon such carts<lb></lb>
drays, carrs & waggons, whereby every offender<lb></lb>
being thereof convicted before one or more of his<lb></lb>
Maties. Justices of the peace for the County wherein such<lb></lb>
offence is comitted by the Oath of one or more credible<lb></lb>
witness or witnesses, is for every such offence to forfeit<lb></lb>
the sume of ten shillings to be levyed & disposed of<lb></lb>
in such manner as is appointed by the sd. Act and in<lb></lb>
default of paymt. of such for feiture to be comitted to the<lb></lb>
house of Correccon there to be kept at hard labour for<lb></lb>
the space of three days, It is thought fit & Ordered by<lb></lb>
this Cort that the respcive high Constables of the severll.<lb></lb>
Divisions in this County doe forthwith issue out their<lb></lb>
prcepts to all the Petty Constables & Headboroughs<lb></lb>
within their respcive Divisions thereby requireing<lb></lb>
them forthwith to give publique notice of the sd prsentmt. within<lb></lb>
their respcive districts, and to apprhend & carry<lb></lb>
