<p n="730">On Saturday Night last the Sessions ended at<lb></lb>
the Old Bailey, where 7 Persons receiv'd Sen<lb></lb>
tence of death, and one after Conviction made<lb></lb>
his Escape, by Leaping over the Bail-dock, and <lb></lb>
over the Spikes of the Ralls at the Sessions-house<lb></lb>
whilst the Court was fating, and has not once<lb></lb>
been heard of. His Name is Chapman, and was<lb></lb>
one of the Persons taken on the Highway some<lb></lb>
time since near Bow, being Shot in the Nape of<lb></lb>
the Neck.</p>
<p n="731">Last week 2. Highway-men robb'd all the<lb></lb>
Coaches they could meet with on Chelmsford<lb></lb>
Road in Ellex and having had about 30 Guineas<lb></lb>
and a Gold Watch of a certain Gentleman, who<lb></lb>
had a particular value for the Watch on a pri-<lb></lb>
vate Account, they die by his Request restore it,<lb></lb>
Upon Promise, that if they should be taken, he<lb></lb>
would not Prosecute them. Another Highway<lb></lb>
man robb'd last Tuesday the Highgate Stage-<lb></lb>
Coach of a Quantity of Money and Goods to<lb></lb>
the value of almost 2001.</p>
<p n="732">Monday last near Hounslow, a Waggon laden<lb></lb>
with a great Parcel of Goods, laid to be going<lb></lb>
to Bristol Fair was overturn'd and whilst the<lb></lb>
Waggoner went for help, his Lanthorn which<lb></lb>
hung on the waggon, set it on Fire when there<lb></lb>
was discover'd a Quantity of Fire-Arms And Pow-<lb></lb>
der; a great Part of the Goods were burnt.</p>
<p n="733">Letters from Leverpool of the 14th Instant,<lb></lb>
advise, that 95 Indictments are found already<lb></lb>
against as many persons, amongst whom are<lb></lb>
Chorley of Chorley, and his Son; and that<lb></lb>
the Trial of these two comes on this day.</p>
<p n="734">Thursday last being the Birth-day of Prince<lb></lb>
Frederick, eldest Son to his Royal Highness the<lb></lb>
Prince of Wales, who now enters upon the 10th<lb></lb>
year of his Age, several loyal Subjects comme-<lb></lb>
morated the said Anniversary, by roasting a<lb></lb>
whole Ox upon the Ice, near Whitehall.</p>
