withoutt respect had to psonall Estates Contrary to the knowne<obscured></obscured>

Methods heretofore used in making the Likeassessemt: within the sd<obscured></obscured>

the petrs: are aggrieved & appealed from the same; And wee the sd<obscured></obscured>

together with the sd. Cold fory, Mr Bateman & Mr Master did according to the sd. order meete at<obscured></obscured>

in White Chappell in this County on the day & at the tyme in the sd Ord menconed; And die then& the<obscured></obscured>

prsence of the Churchwarden & Overseers of the poor & diverse of the ancient & Chief Inhitants of the sd.<lb></lb>
as also of the sd Appellants, Take upon us the hearing & Examinacon of the sd Matter & upon a Long<obscured></obscured>

& hearing & Only Examining all Ptyes Comemed & their Alleyarons on both Sides, Itt appeared<lb></lb>
the sd. Rate is unequall & oppressive & is according to a poundrate & nott according to the ability of<obscured></obscured>
<lb></lb>
Inhitants there & Contrary to the ancient & usuall Methods & Custom practised & used in the sd<obscured></obscured>
<lb></lb>
making the Rates for the Relief of the Poor there; And wee whose names are hereunto Subscribed<obscured></obscured>

the sd. Coll fary, Mr Bateman, & Mr Master did in the prseme of the sd Churchwarden & Overseers of the<obscured></obscured>
<lb></lb>
diverse other ancient & Chief Inhitants of the sd. Hamlett then & there declare, That the sd. Rate was<obscured></obscured>

oppressive & Contrary to Law, And did order them forthwith to proceed to make a New Equall & Jud<obscured></obscured>
<lb></lb>
& Taxawn upon the sd Hamlett according to Lame for Raising a Competent Sume or Sumes for & toward<obscured></obscured>
<lb></lb>
necessary Reliese of the poor within the sd. Hamlett to begathered out of the Same according to the ability the<lb></lb>
Or otherwise amongst themselves to agree & fairly to Settle the matter in difference<obscured></obscured>

the Same unto us the sd. Last rented Justices or any Such three of us at Such Convenient tyme as we<obscured></obscured>

they having notice there of: And whereas wee whose names and hereunto Subscribed & other the sd.<lb></lb>
memoned Justices did Cause tymely notice to be given to the sd. Churchwarden & Overseers of the poor &<obscured></obscured>

of the sd. Hamlett to appeare before us att the Mr. Whitolypn aforesd. on Monday the third day of July in<obscured></obscured>
<lb></lb>
nyne of the Clocke in the forenoon, In order That wee might take an Account of their proceeding<lb></lb>
and Inspect the New Rate (If any made) on further to Enquire into any new matter or Cause of Con<obscured></obscured>

(If any Should be offered) Att which last memoned tyme neither the sd. Churchwarden nor Overseers of<lb></lb>
or any other Inhitants of the sd. Hamlett Except four or five of the aforesd Petrs: did appeare<lb></lb>
Mee therefore whose names are hereunto Subscribed Doe Reporte to this Honble: Court That Itt is<lb></lb>
Opinion That the said Rate agt: which the Peticoners did appeale is very unequall & oppressive &<obscured></obscured>

It Lane and is made according to a pound rate & nott according to the ability of the Inhitants of the sd<obscured></obscured>
<lb></lb>
& Contrary to the ancient & usuall Methods & Custom used in the sd. Hamlett for making Rates for the<lb></lb>
of the Poore there, and oughs to be quashed & vacated and a new Rate made according to Lane<obscured></obscured>
<lb></lb>
the antient usage & Custom of the sd. Hamlett Given under our hand<obscured></obscured>
