Council,</note>
The Chairman together with the other Justices (who were<lb></lb>
Summoned by his Direction for that purpose) attended the<lb></lb>
Lord high Chancellour at the time and place mentioned<lb></lb>
in the Said Letter, who gave in charge & recommended<lb></lb>
to them the Execution of his Majesty's commands<lb></lb>
expressed in the said Order in Council,</p>
<p n="785">The Justices in Obedience thereunto assembled and met<lb></lb>
together at <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMOC40000_geo537">Hicks hall</rs>

in St. John Prest on the Eleventh<lb></lb>
and twentieth days of May 1721 in Order to consider of<lb></lb>
Some proper method to suppress the Wicked Clubs or<lb></lb>
Societies of young People referred to in his Majesty's said<lb></lb>
Order, and to put a Stop to all manner of Vice, immoralty<lb></lb>
and Profaneness, of which severall Meetings, Publique<lb></lb>
notice was given in the London Gazetts, and that all<lb></lb>
Persons who were able and willing to make any<lb></lb>
Discovery or give Information touching the Premisses<lb></lb>
were desired to attend at the time and place left above<lb></lb>
mentioned, and that they should receive all incouragement<lb></lb>
But no Person comeing to make any Discovery or give<lb></lb>
any such Information the Justices afterwards on the<lb></lb>
Twenty Sixth day of the same Month of May drew up the<lb></lb>
following Representation to the Lord Chancellor which they<lb></lb>
delivered to his Lordship on the thirteenth day of June<lb></lb>
following being the day appointed by his Lordship to<lb></lb>
