appointed by your Worships to receive and Convey<lb></lb>
Vagrants into and through the County of Middx</p>
<p n="2743">"Your humble Petitioner hopes your Worships<lb></lb>
will not be offended at his requesting you to take<lb></lb>
into your Consideration the very high price of<lb></lb>
provisions of every sort and the great and unex-<lb></lb>
-pected increase of the price thereof both for suste-<lb></lb>
-nance of Vagrants delivered to him as well as<lb></lb>
that of Horse provisions which Constitutes of a<lb></lb>
very large part of the Expence your Petitioner<lb></lb>
being obliged to keep two and frequently Three<lb></lb>
Horses employed in Conveying Vagrants in the<lb></lb>
several directions thro' the County their passes<lb></lb>
require; that the Expence of supporting them is<lb></lb>
double what it was at the time Your Petitioner<lb></lb>
was first honored with Your Worships appointm-<lb></lb>
as also the Expence of keeping the necessary<lb></lb>
attendants to assist him in the Execution of the<lb></lb>
Duties of his Office by which your Petitioner is<lb></lb>
and for some time past has been a Considerable<lb></lb>
