Application at the Clerks Office for payment of my Bill on<lb></lb>

found the Examining Committee had Deducted a Charge<lb></lb>
of £10..10. for my traveling Expences in Surveying an<lb></lb>
Enlargement to Baber Bridge on <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMGO55611_geo1470">Hounslow Heath</rs>

made and produced Plans Estimates and Particulars<lb></lb>
for Repairs and Enlargements attended twice on Mr..<lb></lb>
Henderson Mr.. Clithero and other Magistrates at <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMGO55611_geo1471">the Bridge</rs>

to show in what manner I intended the Improvement<lb></lb>
previous to the Works being put in Execution</p>
<p n="2239">The Estimate was for Works only above the Bed of the<lb></lb>
Stream the Underdepths being uncertain there was a<lb></lb>
probability of a Considerable Extra Expence which by<lb></lb>
frequent Attendance and Attention I prevented having<lb></lb>
made about 20. Journey's to superinted the Works and<lb></lb>
Measure and make up the Accounts.</p>
<p n="2240">The aggregate Sum I have charged would be very<lb></lb>
indifferent pay for the Trouble and time I have expended<lb></lb>
on this business. I have followed the usual mode of<lb></lb>
Charging 5. Pr.. Cent which Amounted to £10..3..0.<lb></lb>
in the present Case I am Money out of Pocket without<lb></lb>
any Consideration for my time and trouble</p>
<p n="2241">I therefore Solicit Your Worships to Correct the<lb></lb>
inadvertent mistake of the Examining Committee by<lb></lb>
Ordering payment for my Travelling Expences</p>

County Treasurer do pay Mr.. Rogers the sum of Ten<lb></lb>
Pounds and ten shillings but that this Order shall not<lb></lb>
be deemed a precedent for paying any future Charge<lb></lb>
which the Surveyor may make for business of the like kind</p>
