<p n="1065">A Bridge at Poyle within the Manor of <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMGO55611_geo896">Stanwell</rs>

at the present Sessions the onus of Repair will certainly full on<obscured></obscured>

the County or on your humble Servant as Lord of the Manor<lb></lb>
I admit that my predecessors had for 50 or 60 Years repaird<lb></lb>
this Bridge and that till within these 25 Years they kept a<lb></lb>
Bar across it to prevent at their pleasure all but foot<lb></lb>

from passing over it I have been in possession of<lb></lb>
the Manor for more than 20 Years and have uniformly<lb></lb>

and have left it open for all the<lb></lb>
Kings Subjects it is now literally falling down and impassable<lb></lb>
and as it is in the high Road from Stanes to <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMGO55611_geo898">Colnbrook</rs>

thing must soon be done I contend that this must be done<lb></lb>
by the County and if the Magistrates in Sessions are not<lb></lb>
satisfied with the Decesion of the Court of K B in the Case of<lb></lb>

Blackstones Reports I am ready to have the question argued<lb></lb>
in the Kings Bench on a Case, or in any way which will save<lb></lb>
time and Expence You perhaps may suggest such a Plan as<lb></lb>
I am really ignorant of the forms to be observed in these<lb></lb>
matters and only wish to Terminate a business very essential<lb></lb>
to the Public convenience</p>
