<p n="3713">As the health of the Prisoners much depends upon their being<lb></lb>
kept clean a warm and cold Bath are much wanted for that purpose<lb></lb>
It is therefore recommended that two may be provided for their use<lb></lb>
they may be very conveniently placed adjoining to the Wash house<lb></lb>
in which there is a very large Copper very well adapted to heat the<lb></lb>
warm Bath.</p>
<p n="3714">In examining the account of Bread sent to the Prison during<lb></lb>
the last Session it appears that the Bread is frequently sent very deficient<lb></lb>
in weight, to prevent which in future the Governor should pay strict<lb></lb>
regard to the twelfth Rule of the Prison and the Baker changed it<lb></lb>
material deficiences occur in future.</p>
<p n="3715">The visiting Magistrates anxious to discharge the day<lb></lb>
in trusted to the them have endeavoured to report such matters as they<lb></lb>
apprehend may be most conducive to the objects under their care, they<lb></lb>
have only to observe that the many judicious remarks and useful<lb></lb>
observations for the well governing and employing the Prisoners heretofore<lb></lb>
made by former visiting Magistrates whose Reports are already before<lb></lb>
the Court leave little room to add to these Remarks: They Therefore<lb></lb>
submit this their Report with all due deference and respect to the<lb></lb>
consideration of the Court.</p>

<p n="3717">Mr Aris was called in and interrogated relative to the<lb></lb>
Bread being sometimes sent in short of Weight, when he informed the<lb></lb>
Court that tho' sometimes it was impossible to prevent and Oven of Bread<lb></lb>
from being overlaked being short of weight yet that any deficiency which<lb></lb>
might be found in the weight of Bread was always made good on a<lb></lb>
subsequent day and that upon the Average the full weight of Bread was<lb></lb>
always delivered. And it having been stated that Bread was sold<lb></lb>
in the Prisons and that other Articles of Food were also taken in for<lb></lb>
the use of the Prisoners Resolved that no Food of any kind shall<lb></lb>
be taken in or supplied to any Prisoner Convict other then the Goal</p>
