<p n="3449">Resolved that the Salary due to the Persons passing the <lb></lb>
Vagrants up to the day of the Appointment of the New Contractor be<lb></lb>
paid to the Representatives of the late Contractor or to the Person who<lb></lb>
had passed them up to the day of such Appointment at the Rate at<lb></lb>
which the said <rs type="persName" id="LMSMGO55610_n3449-1">Henry Adams</rs>

attention had not been paid to the manner of conducting Vagrants<lb></lb>
passed in the time of the late Contractor <rs type="persName" id="LMSMGO55610_n3450-1">Henry Adams</rs>

<p n="3451">Resolved that Vagrants passed from and through this County<lb></lb>
be conveyed in Custody pursuant to the Order of Session made <lb></lb>
relating thereto.</p>

<p n="3455">It may be expected by the Court that We should go at<lb></lb>
large into the several Particulars to which our attention as visiting<lb></lb>
Magistrates are directed, as we do not wish to take up the time of the<lb></lb>
Court, shall confine ourselves to the particular heads.</p>
<p n="3456">That the Prison is in a state of Security.</p>
<p n="3457">The Governor has since the last Sessions slept in the prison<lb></lb>
and continued so to do until 7th. Instant, was absent from the<lb></lb>
Prison, until the 17th. by Sickness.</p>
<p n="3458">The Prisoners are kept clean properly maintain'd and in<lb></lb>
health.</p>
<p n="3459">The Prisoners are instructed and employ'd in different<lb></lb>
branches of Trade, are obedient to their Keepers and attentive to their<lb></lb>
employers, are free from the vice of Swearing, having during our visits<lb></lb>
made particular enquiry respecting their moral behaviour.</p>
