Allowance on the Smiths Contract Work at the New House of <lb></lb>

<p n="3313">I beg leave to solicit your Worships for an Allowance on<lb></lb>
the Smiths Contract Work performed by me at the House of<lb></lb>
Correction in <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMGO55610_geo2605">Cold Bath fields</rs>

having entered into the Contract at the<lb></lb>
latter end of the year 1789. I was in hopes that the Building would<lb></lb>
have been proceeded upon with that expedition as would enabled me to<lb></lb>
have completed the Work in due time that I should have had no<lb></lb>
occasion to apply for redress, but there being so much time elapsed<lb></lb>
before the Work was wanted, An Advance of Cast Iron took place of<lb></lb>
3sh P Ct. on Wrought Iron 2s/6d P Ct. on the Bell 4d. P lb. and on the<lb></lb>
Coppers 5d. P lb. which commenced in Jany. 1793 and it is from this<lb></lb>
period that I request an Allowance on my Work, and which <lb></lb>
hope and trust your Worships will be pleas'd to take into<lb></lb>
consideration as it is all the Money out of my Pocket, and these<lb></lb>
extraordinary advances were such that there was no possibility to <lb></lb>
foresee. I have here annex'd the several Weights of each Article and<lb></lb>
humbly solliciting your Worships generosity, and my Contract being on<lb></lb>
such very low terms, leaves me little or no profit exclusive of the<lb></lb>
Advance</p>
