Grace Whereas his Majestys Service doth at this time require a<lb></lb>
Speedy supply of Seamen and Seafaring Men to Man his<lb></lb>
Majestys fleet which is now fitting out. We do therefore by his<lb></lb>
Majestys Command hereby pray and require Your Grace to <obscured></obscured>

whereof your Grace is Custos Rotulorum and strictly enjoin and<lb></lb>
require them to cause all Stragling Seamen who are fit to serve<lb></lb>
on Board his Majestys Ships to be taken up and sent by<lb></lb>
proper persons from place to place until they until they shall be brought<lb></lb>
to the Clerks of the Cheque of his Majestys Yards at <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMGO55607_geo1315">Deptford</rs>

Plymouth or to the<lb></lb>
Naval Officer at Harwich or Deal according as those places<lb></lb>
shall be nearest to where such Stragling Seamen shall be ta<obscured></obscured>

up that so they may be put on Board such of his Majestys<lb></lb>
Ships or Vessels as shall be appointed to receive them and than<lb></lb>
there be paid to the persons who shall be intrusted with the<lb></lb>
Conducting them by the aforesaid Clerks of the Cheque or Naval<lb></lb>
Officer Twenty Shillings for each Seamen fit for his Majestys<lb></lb>
Service and Six pence a Mile for every Mile they respectively <obscured></obscured>

not Exceeding Twenty Miles: But that if the Men so taken up<lb></lb>
shall be sent to any place where no such Clerk of the Cheque or<lb></lb>
Naval Officer doth reside that then the same allowance be paid<lb></lb>
the Conductors by Collectors or proper Officers of the Customs<lb></lb>
residing at or nearest to the place whereunto they shall be brought<lb></lb>
(out of the Money to be furnished them for that purpose by the<lb></lb>
Lords of His Majestys Treasury as heretofore) upon Certificates<lb></lb>
from the Captain or Commander of the Ship or Vessel whereunto<lb></lb>
they shall be put, or from a regulating Captain of his having<lb></lb>
received them, which allowance is to be reimbursed to the s<obscured></obscured>

Officers of the Customs by the principal Officers and Commission<obscured></obscured>

of his Majestys Navy upon their transmitting to the said principal<lb></lb>
Officers and Commissioners authentic accounts of what mon<obscured></obscured>
