<p n="1048">That many of the houses within the said parish<lb></lb>
are let at £10. a Year and under and the Occupiers thereof being<lb></lb>
persons in low Condition to whom the Taxes already assessed are a<lb></lb>
great burthen The same are with much difficulty Collected<lb></lb>
and altho' the said several Works are of great Utility and benefit<lb></lb>
to the publick Yet the said parish has never had any assistance<lb></lb>
whatsoever from the publick</p>
<p n="1049">That Your Memorialists in the Year 1773<lb></lb>
at the Expence of about £100 Erected a Watch and Engine have<lb></lb>
with Rooms over the same on the West side of the present Sessions<lb></lb>
house which must necessarily be taken down therewith and there<lb></lb>
is no convenient Spot in the parish whereon to Erect another in<lb></lb>
the stead thereof</p>
<p n="1050">That the removal of the Sessions house into<lb></lb>
another parish will not only be of great prejudice to many of the<lb></lb>
Inhabitants of the Parish of <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMGO55607_geo976">Saint Sepulchre</rs>

which must<lb></lb>
naturally affect the Landlords by lowering the Rents but the<lb></lb>
parish will also sustain a very great Loss and be put to a<lb></lb>
considerable Expence on Account thereof the office of <rs type="occupation" id="LMSMGO55607_occ457">Clerk of<lb></lb>
the peace</rs>

being assessed to the Land Tax in the said parish<lb></lb>
at £300 a Year at 4s. in the pound pays £60. a Year which<lb></lb>
must be made up by the Inhabitants or Owners of Houses<lb></lb>
who are now assessed to the said Tax at full 4.5ths. of their<lb></lb>
