that can be got and that it be a condition with the Tenant that he do<lb></lb>
supply the prisoners with bread and other Victualers Beer Ale Cyder<lb></lb>
and other exciseable Liquors and shall keep the true Assize in uttering<lb></lb>
the same which Victuals and Liquors shall be of a good Quality and<lb></lb>
shall be sold at reasonable prices and that upon complaint to the<lb></lb>
contrary to the Justices in their General or General Quarter Sessions<lb></lb>
of the peace for this County by the Goaler Prisoners or others properly<lb></lb>
Exhibited and Supported the Tenant shall not have the Liberty of<lb></lb>
serving the prisoners confined in the Goal with Bread or other<lb></lb>
Victuals Beer Ale Cyder or other exciseable Liqours if the Justices<lb></lb>
thereon shall so order the same And the Committee do further<lb></lb>
Recommend it to the Court to allow the Keeper of <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMGO55607_geo361">New prison</rs>

having been ordered by the Session that Mr. Rogers Should<lb></lb>
effectually secure the Gateway of the <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMGO55607_geo363">House of Correction</rs>

Which was reported by this Committee to be in a ruinous condition<lb></lb>
and Mr. Rogers having now reported to this Committee as his<lb></lb>
Opinion that the said Gateway and part of the Wall adjorning or she<lb></lb>
to be taken down and that the Expence of building the necessary brick<lb></lb>
Work and making a New Oak Gate there would not exceed the<lb></lb>
Sum of £60 the Committee recommend that the same be ordered<lb></lb>
accordingly</p>

That having viewed and Examined the State of <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMGO55607_geo365">Clerkenwell</rs>

with the greatest attention it is with mush concern that they are<lb></lb>
induced from actual observation to report that the greatest<lb></lb>
irregularities are created in the Tap Room of the said Prison by<lb></lb>
the numerous admission of various sorts of persons among such<lb></lb>
as are under Confinement and by the improper assemblage of the<lb></lb>
prisoners themselves there wherefore Mr. Rogers was directed to<lb></lb>
Survey the same and report to the Committee whether the Tap<lb></lb>
Room could not be separated from body of the Goal in like manner<lb></lb>
is that at the other Prison and also to lay before the Committee an<lb></lb>
Estimate of the Expence of Making the said Alteration and the<lb></lb>
Committee being of Opinion that some of the front Rooms belonging<lb></lb>
to the said prison next the Street might be easily converted into a<lb></lb>
Tap House Mr. Rogers accordingly Surveyed the same and</p>
