<p n="1045">which Shall be appointed to Audit the Account relating to Vagabonds<lb></lb>
to be checked with the Orders for Rewards; and the same Method be<lb></lb>
observed from Year to Year, untill this Court shall otherwise Order<lb></lb>
and direct.</p>
<p n="1046">And this Court are of Opinion that the apprehending Beggars<lb></lb>
being the imediate Duty and Bussiness of the Deadles of the<lb></lb>
several Parishes, for which they are paid Salaries raised upon the<lb></lb>
Public; therefore the County Money ought not to be disposed of to<lb></lb>
such Beadles for the apprehending Beggars, as it is very unreasonable<lb></lb>
that the Public should be twice charged on that Account.</p>
<p n="1047">And if appears to this Court, that some of the Magistrates have<lb></lb>
not conformed themselves to the Order of Session of July 14. 1757.<lb></lb>
and for want of such Conformity, this County hath been put to the Expence<lb></lb>
of near £150 the last year; but this Court considering the Artifices of the<lb></lb>
Constables and other under Officers, who have by indirect Practises<lb></lb>
accumulated large Sums of the public Money to their own use, are<lb></lb>
willing to ascribe the Noncomplaince of such Magistrates rather to the<lb></lb>
Artifices of such Officers, than to any designed Opposition to the Effects of<lb></lb>
this Court to save the public Money: This Court therefore for bear any<lb></lb>
further Animadversions thereupon, saving and reserving such<lb></lb>
Complaints as are now subsisting against <rs type="persName" id="LMSMGO55604_n1047-1">Samuel Bever</rs>

the Magistrates of this County: but as Experience have is need the Utility<lb></lb>
of the said Order of Sessions this Court do for the future expect an<lb></lb>
implicite Observance of the Orders of Sessions in Respect to the<lb></lb>
apprehending and Conveying Vagabonds, and this Court will inforce<lb></lb>
the Execution of such Orders by all Lawfull Means: And this Court<lb></lb>
do recommend to the Magistrates of this County residing with in the<lb></lb>
Bills of Mortality the Practise of the Magistraey of the <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMGO55604_geo1459">City of London</rs>

not allowing more than Two Shillings to the Apprehender of a Vagabonds</p>
<p n="1048">And Whereas by the Statute of the 17th. of the King, Chang 5.<lb></lb>
Sect. 16 it is Enacted "That the <rs type="occupation" id="LMSMGO55604_occ1151">Justices of the Peace</rs>
<interp inst="LMSMGO55604_occ1151" type="occupation" value="Justices of the Peace"></interp>
of any County<lb></lb>
..Riding, City, Borough, Term, corporate Division, or Liberty shall and<lb></lb>
..may at the General or Quarter of the Peace, from time to time limit<lb></lb>
..appoint and direct what Rates and Allowance per Mile or otherwise<lb></lb>
..shall be made for the passing Conveying or Maintaining of Rogues<lb></lb>
..Vagabonds, or incorrigible Rogues, to be passed and conveyed as ofsd.<lb></lb>
..And may likewise make such other Orders Rules and directions<lb></lb>
..for the more regular Proceeding or Acting therein within their<lb></lb>
..their respive Limit and Jurisdictions, as they in their<lb></lb>
