<p n="1016">That the said James Struges Adams be paid by the Treasurer of this<lb></lb>
County for the Conveying the said Vagabonds monthly the Sum of £16..13s..4d for<lb></lb>
every Calendar Month; and also for the Subsistance of such Vagrants as<lb></lb>
shall be lodged at his House; Two Pence per Day, and Three Pence per Day<lb></lb>

directed by the Order of Sessions of July 14th. 1757. distinguishing for the future<lb></lb>
in his said Accounts those passed from the Bridewells and Lodgments in<lb></lb>

and also seperating the Accounts of the Subsistance Money Paid, which Accounts<lb></lb>
should also be delivered at every Sessions with the other Lists. And such Lists<lb></lb>
and Account of Subsistance to be verified upon path if required, and Oath to<lb></lb>
be made upon the Back of every Order of Conveying of the Delivery of the<lb></lb>
Vagabond therein mentioned.</p>
<p n="1018">That they are of Opinion that of the Magistrates with in the Bills of<lb></lb>
Mortality with in this County would Adopt the Method practised by the<lb></lb>
Magistrates of the <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMGO55604_geo1452">City of London</rs>

<interp inst="LMSMGO55604_geo1452" type="type" value="undefined"></interp>
, in allowing only two Shillings for apprehendg:<lb></lb>
a Vagabond, and in other respects, conform themselves to the Resolutions<lb></lb>
of this Court, the whole Charge arising from the Articles of Vagabonds would<lb></lb>
be reduced to little more than One third of the Expence this County hath<lb></lb>
been put to on that Account.</p>
<p n="1019">That for want of a Proper and regular Method in laying before this<lb></lb>
Court an Annual Account of the Expence this County had been put to on<lb></lb>
the Article of Vagabonds many Irregularties have arisen and passed<lb></lb>
unobserved, to the great Detriment of the County; to prevent which<lb></lb>
Inconvenience for the future, and to render the passing of these Accounts<lb></lb>
more certain and more easy to the Magistrates, the Committee<lb></lb>
recommend the following Method to the Court.</p>
<p n="1020">That the Treasurer of this County do provide a proper Book, and from<lb></lb>
Michaelmas Day last, enter therein a abstracts of all Orders or Certificates</p>
