Streets of this Metropolis and Towns and Places in this County are greatly pestered

with Numbers of Beggars resorting to the said Metropolis Towns and Places
<

lb
>
from all Parts of the Kingdom which are a publick Nusance and bring a great
<

>
</
lb
>
Burthen and Expence upon this County contrary to the Intent of the said Act.
<

lb
>
This Court doth therefore recommend it to the Magistrates of this County to cause
<
lb
>
</
lb
>
the said Act to be strictly and speedily put in Execution against all Persons who
<
lb
>
</
lb
>
shall be found wandering and begging in their several Parishes Divisions and
<
lb
>
</
lb
>
Districts and inflict the punishment prescribed by the said Act upon such Offenders
<
lb
>
</
lb
>
And this Court being resolved as much as in them lieth strictly to inforce the Execution
<
lb
>
</
lb
>
of the said Act Do hereby charge and command all High and Petty Constables
<
lb
>
</
lb
>
and other Peace Officers within this County to be very carefull and diligent in
<
lb
>
</
lb
>
apprehending all Persons found wandering and begging in the Streets and Places in this
<
lb
>
</
lb
>
County and to convey them before some of his Majestys Justices of the Peace
<
lb
>
</
lb
>
And all Persons are hereby enjoined to aid and assist the Peace Officers in the
<
lb
>
</
lb
>
Execution of the said Act as they will answer the contrary at their peril And
<
lb
>
</
lb
>
the Constables and other Peace Officers are hereby charged to make diligent
<
lb
>
</
lb
>
and speedy Search in their respective Parishes and Places and return to the
<
lb
>
</
lb
>
several Justices of the Peace the Names and Places of Abode of such
<
lb
>
</
lb
>
Persons as shall for the future presume of lodge or harbour Beggars in their
<
lb
>
</
lb
>
Houses or other Buildings in order to their Conviction and Punishment as the
<
lb
>
</
lb
>
said Act, directs and this Court doth recommend it to the several Magistrates to reward
<
lb
>
</
lb
>
such Persons as shall be active and diligent in their Duty as by the said
<
lb
>
</
lb
>
Act they are impowered And all Constables and others injoined to put the said
<
lb
>
</
lb
>
Act in Execution are to take Notice that they will be prosecuted for their
<
lb
>
</
lb
>
negligence or refusal so to do with the utmost Severity of the Law And to
<
lb
>
</
lb
>
prevent any Parish, Peace Officer or other Person required to put the said
<
lb
>
</
lb
>
Act in Execution pleading Ignorance in the Premisses It is Ordered that
<
lb
>
</
lb
>
the Clerk of the Peace do cause a sufficient Number of Copys hereof to
<
lb
>
</
lb
>
be forthwith printed and by the Cryer of this Court to be sent to the
<
lb
>
</
lb
>
Justices of the Peace and High Constables of the several Divisions
<
lb
>
</
lb
>
within this County for the better notifying the same to their Petty Constables
<
lb
>
</
lb
>
and other Peace Officers And also that a sufficient Number of Copys hereof be
<
lb
>
</
lb
>
fixed up in the publick Streets of this Town and in such Towns and Villages in this
<
lb
>
</
lb
>
County near the Roads leading to London And that the same be forthwith published
<

</

>
in such of the Daily and Evening Papers as may best circulate the knowledge of
