Gents on the other part, taking Notice, int al, that a house of<lb></lb>
Correction had been built on part of the Great Garden part<lb></lb>
of the Said Estate, and that the Treasurers & other Justices<lb></lb>
appointed to expend the moneys Collected for the purposes<lb></lb>
aforesaid had Disbursed more money than they had or could<lb></lb>
receive, and were Indebted Considerably to workmen, and<lb></lb>
that divers other things were Still necessary and wanting<lb></lb>
to Finish the Said <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMGO55601_geo1060">house of Correction</rs>

which was about five years after the Purchase from<lb></lb>
the Bedingfields with the County money (that Purchase being<lb></lb>
in the year 1614) King James the 1st. by Letters Patent (reciting<lb></lb>
the Said Former Letters Patent, and that the Said Sessions<lb></lb>
house was accordingly built, but that the Justices finding<lb></lb>
that the Same ground was not large enough for a Sessions<lb></lb>
house and a Prison also, as was Intended, the Justices had<lb></lb>
at the Comon Charge of the County of Middx afterwards<lb></lb>
Purchased another Peice of Ground in the parish of<lb></lb>

Said King granted to Sir Baptist Hicks & other Justices That<lb></lb>
