The Committe appointed by order of this Court of the<lb></lb>
14th day of October last upon occasion of his Majestys<lb></lb>
commands signify or by Letter from the Rt. Honble the<lb></lb>
Lord Viscount Townshend one of his Majestys principal<lb></lb>
Senetarys of State To the <rs type="occupation" id="LMSMGO55600_occ1482">Justices of the peace</rs>

of this<lb></lb>
County to be vigilant in suppressing and preventing<lb></lb>
such disorders as are the Cause of the Great Encrease of<lb></lb>
Street Hobberys and other Felonys, To which<lb></lb>
Committe it was referred To give such Orders and<lb></lb>
directions as they should think proper for the better<lb></lb>
Execution of his Majestys Commands, and to consider<lb></lb>
of and lay before this court what other measures might<lb></lb>
be necessary or proper to be persued, more effectually<lb></lb>
to answer the Ends proposed, as also to propose and<lb></lb>
lay before the court such Representations of any<lb></lb>
other matters or of any difficulties or obstructions in<lb></lb>
this service which should appear or or Occurr to them<lb></lb>
To the Intent that proper directions may be given<lb></lb>
or application made thereupon, and that such<lb></lb>
difficulties and obstructions might to thereby<lb></lb>
Removed, Have proceeded according to the said order<lb></lb>
of Reference to answer the Ends thereof in the Rest<lb></lb>
manner they were able; And accordingly have<lb></lb>
assembled themselves at Hicks Hall every Saturday<lb></lb>
from the 26th. of October to the 30th. of November<lb></lb>
last inclusive, and have from time to time Received<lb></lb>
several Reports or Accounts in Writing of Proceedings<lb></lb>
by the Justices of this County in their respective<lb></lb>
petty Sessions upon the several heads recomended<lb></lb>
by his Majestys Gracious Commands to their care,<lb></lb>
all which they have caused to be hereunto annexed<lb></lb>
and unto which, to avoid prolixity they referr.<lb></lb>
And your Committee toot into their most Serious<lb></lb>
Consideration the difficulties and obstructions in<lb></lb>
the suppressing and preventing of Street Robbery<lb></lb>
and other Felonys and Misdemeanours Mentioned<lb></lb>
in the Ld. Townshend letter which when attended<lb></lb>
to do in good part point out the Measures necessary</p>
