IV. And he it further enacted, That if any such<lb></lb>
Hawker, Pedlar, or Petty Chapman, or other trading<lb></lb>
Person, to travelling as aforesaid, shall, from and after<lb></lb>
the said <rs type="date" id="LMSLPS15096_date69">First Day of August, One thousand seven hun-<lb></lb>
dred and eighty five</rs>

, be found trading as aforesaid, with-<lb></lb>
out, or contrary to, or otherwise than as shall be allowed<lb></lb>
by such Licence, such Person shall, for each and every<lb></lb>
such Offence, forfeit the Sum of Ten Pounds, to be<lb></lb>
recovered and applied as hereafter mentioned; and that<lb></lb>
if any Person, to trading under and by virtue of any<lb></lb>
Licence to him or her granted as aforesaid, upon Demand<lb></lb>
made by any Person or Persons authorised or appointed<lb></lb>
to demand any such Licence by the Commissioners for<lb></lb>
licensing Hawkers, Pedlars, and Petty Chapmen for the<lb></lb>
Time being, or any Two of them, under their Hands<lb></lb>
and Seals, and upon producing or shewing such Autho-<lb></lb>
rity or Appointment to such Person to trading as last<lb></lb>
aforesaid, or upon Demand made by any Justice of the<lb></lb>
Peace, Mayor, or Constable, or other Officer of the<lb></lb>
Peace of any County, Riding, Division, Town Cor-<lb></lb>
porate, Borough, or Place, where he or she shall to trade,<lb></lb>
shall refuse to produce and them his or her Licence for to<lb></lb>
trading as aforesaid, or shall not have his or her<lb></lb>
Licence for so trading as aforesaid ready to produce and<lb></lb>
shew unto such Person authorised or appointed as last<lb></lb>
aforesaid, or unto such Justice of the Peace, Mayor,<lb></lb>
Constable, or other Officer of the Peace; that then<lb></lb>
the Person so refusing shall forfeit Ten Pounds, to<lb></lb>
be recovered and applied as herein-after mentioned, and<lb></lb>
for Nonpayment thereof shall suffer as a common Ua-<lb></lb>
grant, and be committed to the <rs type="placeName" id="LMSLPS15096_geo432">House of Correction</rs>
