Office being Citizens and Barbers of London and exempted therefrom by an<lb></lb>
Act of Parliament of the Eighteenth of his late Majesty King George the 2d.<lb></lb>
for making the Surgeons of London and the Barbers of London two seperate<lb></lb>
and distinct Corporations and the two Clauses in the said Act being read<lb></lb>
and they producing a Case with the Opinion of Council thereon This<lb></lb>
Court doth refer it to Mr. Recorder and Mr. Common Serjeant to consider<lb></lb>
thereof and report their Opinion thereon to this Court.</p>

I am of Opinion that the Exemption now claim'd by the <rs type="occupation" id="LMSLPS15096_occ98">Barbers</rs>

is not warranted by Law The Terms of the Charter do not extend to it<lb></lb>
the Act of Parliament grants no new Priviledge and under the Circumstances<lb></lb>
the Usage appears to me decisive against the Claim.</p>
