July instant to answer a Bill of Indictment found by the<lb></lb>

against this Deponent at the last Sessions and<lb></lb>
this Deponent being also bound in the Sum of Forty Pounds<lb></lb>
for his own appearance at the same time when and where<lb></lb>
this Deponent did alter<obscured></obscured>
to take his Tryal on<lb></lb>
the said Indictment<obscured></obscured>
Condition of the<lb></lb>
Recognizance and this<obscured></obscured>
being fearful of the<lb></lb>
Conveyances that might onside<gap reason="illegible"></gap>
to his Bail as well as<lb></lb>
himself by any neglect made application by Letter to Mr<lb></lb>
Reynolds the Clerk of Arraigne to know if the Tryal of<lb></lb>
the said Indictment could with safety be postponed the<lb></lb>
the next day (Tuesday) at the same time informing the<lb></lb>
said Mr Reynolds that his Witnesses were not then ready<lb></lb>
from whom his Deponent received a verbal Answer that it<lb></lb>
must come on that day (Monday) whereupon this Deponent<lb></lb>
together with the said James Delegal immediately to<lb></lb>
a Coach and drove with great expedition to bring up<lb></lb>
the Witnesses on the part of this Deponent and<lb></lb>
notwithstanding every dispatch was made use of when the<lb></lb>
respective Witnesses appeared (which to the knowledge and<lb></lb>
belief of this Deponent did not in the while & said two<lb></lb>
hours) to his great Surprize the Court was broke up and in<lb></lb>
this Case the Recognizance of this Deponent and his Bail</p>
